Program Overview
The Community STEM Outreach program is designed to equip out of school youth and refugees in Uganda with practical, hands-on ICT and computer skills required for employment and entrepreneurship. This adaptive program bridges the knowledge and skills gaps of the out of school youth and refugees in ICT, mobile Apps development, software development, robotics and computer repair.
The Community STEM Outreach program fosters creativity and innovations by youth that address emerging community needs in agriculture, health, finance, education and business. This is achieved through regional and national innovation challenges and science fairs.
By providing these skills and opportunities, the program aims to enhance the prospects of out of school youth and refugees in Uganda, enabling them to participate more fully in the digital economy and contribute to their communities’ development.
